Adult & Teen Cast Information
For Adults (18 years & up) & Teens (12 years & up), wanting to get started in theatre or taking their skill sets to the next level. We typically offer 2-3 casts for Adults & 1-2 for Teens.
Have an experienced child (age 6-17)? Depending on the show, the audition ages vary, but thhey can also audition for our Adult and/or Teen casts if the show has roles for children/teens! Our family friendly theater makes it easy for entire families to be on stage together.
Rehearsal and Show Schedule
Starlight Theatre shows typically have 8-10 rehearsals before our dress/rehearsal and show. It is expected that call cast practice what they learn at home to be fully prepared.
Before selecting which casts you or your child is available, here are some things to consider:

You must be able to attend the Dress Rehearsal and ALL shows for the cast you select

If you or your child misses any rehearsal it is your responsibility to request the missed information from Starlight staff
*****PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BELOW, if auditioning for a lead role, you must prepare an addtn'l song for in-person auditions and/or video for online auditions*****
In Person Auditions
YOU MUST SUBMIT AN AUDITION FORM TO BE CAST
When (1 hour time slots):

Tuesday, June 16, 7PM-10PM

Important Note: if your child is in the Aladdin summer camp and auditioning for ensemble only you DO NOT need to audition. Fill out an audition form, but select "Video" just so we have your form on file.
Cost:

$165 Adults Age 18+ cast in lead roles (Bill Sikes, Fagin, Nancy, Bet, Mr. Bumble, Widow Corney) $150 due at auditions, balance paid at the Read-Thru

$165 for Kid or Teen, 11 yrs & above cast as Oliver, Artful Dodger, & will consider casting Nancy or Bet 16 years old & above; $150 due at auditions, balance paid at the Read-Thru

$150 for those Adults cast in minor roles/ensemble

$75 Kid/Teens 12-18 yrs as orphans

If enrolled in Aladdin Kids, tuition for Kids/Teens who want to be in Oliver will ONLY be an addtn'l $25

Tuition cost covers ALL casts your child is in (including kid/teen and adult/teen casts). You only pay 1 time!

$5 Card Processing Fee added for Square Payments
What to Expect:
-
We will practice the Ensemble audition song together a few times before everyone will sing it on stage. You can sing alone or ask to sing with someone.

If trying out for a lead role such as Oliver, Artful Dodger, Nancy, Bill Sikes or Fagin, prepare a 1 minute excerpt of a song that your character of choice sings from an Oliver Jr music track which can be found online

You will do a cold read of lines with excerpts from the script.

No prep, no headshots, no callbacks.
