Kid/Teen Cast Information
This is great for Kids/Teens (6-17 years), wanting to get started in theatre or taking their skill sets to the next level. We typically offer up to 4 different casts for each show to give your child plenty of opportunities for different roles. Your tuition covers the cost of ALL casts (including Adult/Teen casts).
More experienced actors are welcome to audition for our Adult/Teen casts too!
Rehearsal and Show Schedule
Starlight Theatre shows typically have 8-10 rehearsals before our Dress Rehearsal and Performances. It is expected that all actors practice what they learn at home to be fully prepared.
Before selecting which casts your child is available, here are some things to consider:

You must be able to attend the Dress Rehearsal and ALL Performances for the cast/camp you select

If your child misses any rehearsal it is your responsibility to request the missed information from Starlight staff or speak to the Director to arrange for your actor to attend a make-up rehearsal
Auditions
Audition forms MUST be submitted for both In Person and Video auditions.
If your child is also auditioning for Adult/Teen casts you must also submit a separate Adult/Teen audition form.
In Person Auditions
YOU MUST SUBMIT AN AUDITION FORM TO BE CAST
When (1 hour time slots):

Cost: $350 ($10 service charge if using card)

What to Expect:

We will practice the audition song together a few times before your child will sing it on stage. They can sing alone, or ask to sing with a friend.

The kids will do a cold read of lines with excerpts from the script. We will assist children who need help to read the lines.

No prep, no headshots, no callbacks.

Video Auditions
YOU MUST SUBMIT AN AUDITION FORM TO BE CAST
When:

Videos must be received by midnight on Thursday, June 18 before midnight
Cost: $350 ($10 service charge if using card)

Record 1 minute video: introduce yourself and sing a Broadway tune
